Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Lizard Tongue by Daniel Gordon for USD 313.00 (€ 296.35). This price was achieved in the auction Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Gordon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with House Plants and Pink Vase in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,088.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lizard Tongue von Daniel Gordon für USD 313,00 (€ 296,35) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fast Forward: New Directions in Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel Gordon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life with House Plants and Pink Vase im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.088,64).
