In September 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A courting couple outside a building, an arcade and a garden beyond by Daniel de Blieck. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,200.00 (€ 6,195.89), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel de Blieck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A church interior by candlelight with figures conversing in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 127,000.00 (€ 136,441.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A courting couple outside a building, an arcade and a garden beyond von Daniel de Blieck zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.200,00 (€ 6.195,89) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel de Blieck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A church interior by candlelight with figures conversing im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 127.000,00 (€ 136.441,77).
