Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Second Series Biopsy: M122/372, M122/373 by Damien Hirst for GBP 229,250.00 (€ 289,863.43). This price was achieved in the auction Damien Hirst - Beautiful Inside My Head Forever at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Damien Hirst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lullaby Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 9,652,000.00 (€ 14,323,082.54).
