Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Australian Lucas Haas by Dale Frank for AUD 22,800.00 (€ 13,734.64). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Sothebys in Sydney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dale Frank - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eddie T Chest the Man with a Cricket Bat Shaped Penis Helping Men Manage Their Responsibilities (The Gulf), 1997-2000, which sold at auction in November 2021 for AUD 34,440.00 (€ 30,512.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Australian Lucas Haas von Dale Frank für AUD 22.800,00 (€ 13.734,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Sydney erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dale Frank mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eddie T Chest the Man with a Cricket Bat Shaped Penis Helping Men Manage Their Responsibilities (The Gulf), 1997-2000 beobachtet, die im November 2021 für AUD 34.440,00 (€ 30.512,98) versteigert wurde.
