Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled Bolsena by Cy Twombly was auctioned at Christies in New York in May this year. The price achieved of USD 19,960,000.00 (€ 18,734,747.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 18,000,000.00 – 25,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cy Twombly - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (New York City), which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 70,530,000.00 (€ 66,777,125.54).

Die Arbeit Untitled Bolsena von Cy Twombly kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 19.960.000,00 (€ 18.734.747,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 18.000.000,00 – 25.000.000,00 angegeben worden.
