A top price for Cuthbert Edmund Swan - as previously expected
In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Orientalist Art, which included the work The Tiger Hunt by Cuthbert Edmund Swan. The price achieved of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,258.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Tiger Hunt is the most expensive artwork by Cuthbert Edmund Swan that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Tiger Hunt von Cuthbert Edmund Swan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.258,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Tiger Hunt das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cuthbert Edmund Swan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
