Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work 'Flock Of Birds', Late 20Th Century by Curtis Jere was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,289.07). Other works by Curtis Jere have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2020 by the work A 'Raindrops' Model Mirror, Circa 1975 at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,511.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit 'Flock Of Birds', Late 20Th Century von Curtis Jere im Februar 2014 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.062,50 (€ 1.289,07) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Curtis Jere wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2020 die Arbeit A 'Raindrops' Model Mirror, Circa 1975 mit GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.511,76).
