Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Melon and an octagonal cup on a silver charger, an upturned bowl behind by Cristoforo Munari. The price achieved of USD 78,000.00 (€ 61,066.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cristoforo Munari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Natura Morta Con Pesce, Brocca Di Vetro, Pezzo Di Carne Su Foglio Di Carta, Cavolo, Orcio Di Rame, Mortaio Con Pestello, Fiasco Di Vino, Piatti, Pesce, Mele E Arancia, which sold at auction in May 2007 for EUR 222,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Melon and an octagonal cup on a silver charger, an upturned bowl behind von Cristoforo Munari zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 78.000,00 (€ 61.066,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden.
