Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre; une paire 81 x 60.5 x 4.5cm (31 7/8 x 23 13/16 x 1 3/4in) et by Costas Tsoclis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in May this year. The price achieved of EUR 12,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Costas Tsoclis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Boat, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre; une paire 81 x 60.5 x 4.5cm (31 7/8 x 23 13/16 x 1 3/4in) et von Costas Tsoclis wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Costas Tsoclis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Boat beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05) versteigert wurde.
