A top price for Costas Tsoclis - as previously expected
The work Greek Boat by Costas Tsoclis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Greek Boat is the most expensive artwork by Costas Tsoclis that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Greek Boat von Costas Tsoclis wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Greek Boat das teuerste Kunstwerk von Costas Tsoclis, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
