Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek Untitled by Costas Tsoclis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2010. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,716.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Costas Tsoclis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Boat, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).

Die Arbeit Greek Untitled von Costas Tsoclis wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion The Greek Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.716,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Costas Tsoclis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Boat beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05) versteigert wurde.
