Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Pannelli Schettini by Corrado Cagli was auctioned at Christies in Milan in November 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 13,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Corrado Cagli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Spie Al Palo, which sold at auction in November 2006 for EUR 47,120.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Pannelli Schettini von Corrado Cagli im November 2010 bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 13.000,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Corrado Cagli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Spie Al Palo beobachtet, die im November 2006 für EUR 47.120,00 versteigert wurde.
