Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Old Hostess (B. 32) by Cornelis Bega was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,055.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Bega achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeune Femme Dans Un Intérieur Tenant Un Verrecornelis Pietersz. Bega ; Young Girl Having A Glass Of Wine In An Interior ; Trace Of Monogram Lower Left ; Oil On Canvas in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 276,750.00.

Die Arbeit The Old Hostess (B. 32) von Cornelis Bega kam im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.055,39) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Bega erzielen.
