In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Man With His Hand In His Coat by Cornelis Bega. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 875.00 (€ 1,188.21), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Bega achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeune Femme Dans Un Intérieur Tenant Un Verrecornelis Pietersz. Bega ; Young Girl Having A Glass Of Wine In An Interior ; Trace Of Monogram Lower Left ; Oil On Canvas in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 276,750.00.

Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man With His Hand In His Coat von Cornelis Bega zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.188,21) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Bega erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jeune Femme Dans Un Intérieur Tenant Un Verrecornelis Pietersz.
