In October 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction NINETEENTH CENTURY ART, which included the work Winterfun: skaters on the ice by Cornelis Kimmel. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 9,400.00. With this result, Winterfun: skaters on the ice is even the most expensive work of art by Cornelis Kimmel that we have observed at auctions so far.
