Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chatting on a forest path by Cornelis Kimmel was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. The price achieved of EUR 1,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Kimmel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winterfun: skaters on the ice in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 9,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chatting on a forest path von Cornelis Kimmel wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Kimmel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Winterfun: skaters on the ice im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.400,00.
