In March 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The Decorative Arts Sale incl. Fine Paintings, which included the work A hillside forest landscape with travellers and cattle on a path by Cornelis Huysmans. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,250.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Huysmans - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded landscape with figures and cattle on a track, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,199.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im März 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The Decorative Arts Sale incl. Fine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A hillside forest landscape with travellers and cattle on a path von Cornelis Huysmans zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.250,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Huysmans mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A wooded landscape with figures and cattle on a track beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.199,94) versteigert wurde.
