Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cornelis Decker could be acquired at Sothebys in Amsterdam in May 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master paintings auction, the work A Wooded Landscape With A Farmstead On The Banks Of A River, A Figure Entering The Cottage changed hands for EUR 3,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Decker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A river landscape with a woman at the door of a cottage and a fisherman bringing in his catch in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 56,440.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelis Decker konnte im Mai 2009 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master paintings wechselte die Arbeit A Wooded Landscape With A Farmstead On The Banks Of A River, A Figure Entering The Cottage für EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Decker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A river landscape with a woman at the door of a cottage and a fisherman bringing in his catch im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 56.440,28).
