Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a boy, traditionally called François de Boisschot, Comte d'Erps, full-length, in an ermine coat with red bows and red hose, on a balcony before a red curtain, with two dogs by Cornelis de Vos was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2005. The price achieved of GBP 36,000.00 (€ 52,251.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelis de Vos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a black dress with gold embroidery and a ruff in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 215,054.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a boy, traditionally called François de Boisschot, Comte d'Erps, full-length, in an ermine coat with red bows and red hose, on a balcony before a red curtain, with two dogs von Cornelis de Vos wurde im Dezember 2005 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 36.000,00 (€ 52.251,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis de Vos auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, half-length, in a black dress with gold embroidery and a ruff im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 215.054,11).
