Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale, which included the work Man Weighing Coins In An Interior, Other Figures In The Room Beyond by Cornelis de Man. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 45,000.00 (€ 41,543.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Cornelis de Man have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2011 the work The Curiosity Seller was auctioned for GBP 51,650.00 (€ 59,276.10).

Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Man Weighing Coins In An Interior, Other Figures In The Room Beyond von Cornelis de Man zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 45.000,00 (€ 41.543,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Cornelis de Man konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2011 die Arbeit The Curiosity Seller für GBP 51.650,00 (€ 59.276,10) versteigert.
