The work A coastline with ships and figures on the shore by Cornelis Claesz van Wieringen was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,360.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Claesz van Wieringen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A river landscape with two sailing boats ( recto ); A rugged landscape with figures by a river ( verso ), which sold at auction in May 2015 for EUR 27,500.00.

Die Arbeit A coastline with ships and figures on the shore von Cornelis Claesz van Wieringen kam im Januar 2024 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.360,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
