In September 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'., which included the work Bedtime by Cornelis Bouter. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,375.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Bouter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The sewing lesson, which sold at auction in September 2003 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 8,876.59).

Im September 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bedtime von Cornelis Bouter zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.375,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Bouter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The sewing lesson beobachtet, die im September 2003 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 8.876,59) versteigert wurde.
