Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek still Life With Japanese Vase by Constantinos Parthenis. It changed hands for a price of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 259,613.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 180,000.00 – 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Constantinos Parthenis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek The Virgin And Child, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 670,100.00 (€ 938,313.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek still Life With Japanese Vase von Constantinos Parthenis zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 259.613,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 180.000,00 – 220.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Constantinos Parthenis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek The Virgin And Child beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 670.100,00 (€ 938.313,36) versteigert wurde.
