Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Self Portrait by Constantinos Parthenis. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 40,765.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantinos Parthenis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek The Virgin And Child in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 670,100.00 (€ 938,313.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Self Portrait von Constantinos Parthenis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 40.765,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantinos Parthenis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greek The Virgin And Child im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 670.100,00 (€ 938.313,36).
