Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Greek a Lady Of The Belle Epoque (Portrait Of The Artist Sophia Laskaridou) by Constantinos Parthenis was sold in the The Greek Sale auction at Sothebys in London in November 2010. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,513.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantinos Parthenis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greek The Virgin And Child in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 670,100.00 (€ 938,313.36).
