Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Race by Konstantin Stoilov was sold in the 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in New York in October 2004. The price achieved of USD 13,145.00 (€ 10,313.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Konstantin Stoilov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Russian Caravan racing in the Snow, which sold at auction in October 2004 for USD 28,680.00 (€ 22,501.18).
