The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,275.73) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Constantin Kluge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Pont Neuf in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,390.47).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit French the Louvre von Constantin Kluge wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.275,73) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Constantin Kluge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Pont Neuf im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.390,47).
