Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art Online, which included the work Cows In A Pasture by Constant Troyon. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,140.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Constant Troyon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French a Seated Basset Hound (Un Basset Artésian Normand, Assis) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 49,706.49).
