Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Property from, which included the work The Emperor Charles II bringing Pietro Morrone to Rome to become Pope Celestino V by Conrad Martin Metz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,230.00 (€ 4,922.04) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Conrad Martin Metz have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2011 the work La Chasse Au Léopard was auctioned for EUR 7,650.00.

Im Januar 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Property from durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Emperor Charles II bringing Pietro Morrone to Rome to become Pope Celestino V von Conrad Martin Metz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.230,00 (€ 4.922,04) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Conrad Martin Metz konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2011 die Arbeit La Chasse Au Léopard für EUR 7.650,00 versteigert.
