Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sailing Boats In A Fjord by Conrad Selmyhr was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 192.00 (€ 285.13). Admittedly, works by Conrad Selmyhr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rowing on a Fjord in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,158.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sailing Boats In A Fjord von Conrad Selmyhr im November 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 192,00 (€ 285,13) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Conrad Selmyhr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rowing on a Fjord im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.158,48).
