This work of art by Colin Ross Parker could be acquired at Christies in Sydney in August 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work The Geologists Camp, Birdsville Track Country changed hands for AUD 1,410.00 (€ 832.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 2,500.00 – 4,500.00. Other works by Colin Ross Parker have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2005 by the work Innamincka, Remote Western Queensland at AUD 1,434.00 (€ 899.32).
