In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Pictures, which included the work The Gondolier'S Return by Colette Bouvard. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,592.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Colette Bouvard have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2006 the work Preparing to launch was auctioned for GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,801.21).

Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Gondolier'S Return von Colette Bouvard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.592,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
