Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work The Procession of The Captured Henry II of France Through The Streets of London by John Richard Coke Smyth. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 660.00 (€ 945.66). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Richard Coke Smyth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zita, A Huron Indian; Huron Indian; Indians Bartering; Moose Hunter, which sold at auction in May 2011 for CAD 4,500.00 (€ 3,231.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
