In March 2007 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work 'Azalea En Geranium' by Coba Ritsema. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,280.00 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Coba Ritsema achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The yellow flower in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 24,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 52 % übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Azalea En Geranium' von Coba Ritsema zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.280,00 und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Coba Ritsema erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The yellow flower im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.000,00.
