In March 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, which included the work Trees in front of a farm by Co Breman. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 16,250.00 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Co Breman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dutch Palmzondag (Laren), which sold at auction in May 2007 for EUR 38,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im März 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trees in front of a farm von Co Breman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 16.250,00 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Co Breman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dutch Palmzondag (Laren) beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für EUR 38.400,00 versteigert wurde.
