Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Judgement - 2015 by Cleon Peterson was sold in the Twenty One Contemporary auction at Artcurial in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 23,616.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cleon Peterson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Converter, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 72,000.00 (€ 73,526.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Judgement - 2015 von Cleon Peterson wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Twenty One Contemporary bei Artcurial versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 23.616,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Cleon Peterson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Converter beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 72.000,00 (€ 73.526,09) versteigert wurde.
