Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,438.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claudio Ridolfi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Federico Ubaldo Della Rovere in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 313,000.00 (€ 210,902.23).

Die Arbeit Tobias And The Angel von Claudio Ridolfi wurde im April 2008 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings Part I And Part II bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 10.438,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claudio Ridolfi erzielen.
