This artwork by Claudette Schreuders achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2018. In the Modern & Contemporary African Art auction, the work South Africanma-Trix sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 31,310.27) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claudette Schreuders - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work South Africanthree Sisters, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 68,313.31).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Claudette Schreuders erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art wurde die Arbeit South Africanma-Trix für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 31.310,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Claudette Schreuders mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit South Africanthree Sisters beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 68.313,31) versteigert wurde.
