Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Un Hommage Du Particulier Au General (Diptych) by Claude Tousignant. Here, the upper estimate of CAD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CAD 51,000.00 (€ 36,618.11). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Tousignant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Accélérateur Chromatique 90, which sold at auction in November 2012 for CAD 129,000.00 (€ 99,838.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Un Hommage Du Particulier Au General (Diptych) von Claude Tousignant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CAD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CAD 51.000,00 (€ 36.618,11) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Tousignant mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Accélérateur Chromatique 90 beobachtet, die im November 2012 für CAD 129.000,00 (€ 99.838,66) versteigert wurde.
