In July 2008 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Abstract & Contemporary Art, which included the work Composition by Claude Bellegarde. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 929.00 55% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Claude Bellegarde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ondes in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 4,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2008 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Abstract & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Claude Bellegarde zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 929,00 und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Claude Bellegarde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ondes im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.750,00.
