Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work A book on a plinth, with candles and bottle to the side by Clarisse Loxton Peacock for GBP 420.00 (€ 624.57). This price was achieved in the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clarisse Loxton Peacock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers on a chair, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,516.80).
