Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Nude with necklace by Clarisse Loxton Peacock. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 504.00 (€ 749.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clarisse Loxton Peacock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers on a chair, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,516.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude with necklace von Clarisse Loxton Peacock zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 504,00 (€ 749,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Clarisse Loxton Peacock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers on a chair beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.516,80) versteigert wurde.
