This work of art by Clarisse Loxton Peacock could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work Lady and violin in an interior changed hands for GBP 480.00 (€ 713.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clarisse Loxton Peacock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers on a chair, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,516.80).
