Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Clarisse Loxton Peacock could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work Jugs, a plate, bottle and fruit in a bowl, on a turquoise drape over a purple dresser changed hands for GBP 456.00 (€ 678.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Clarisse Loxton Peacock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flowers on a chair, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,516.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Clarisse Loxton Peacock konnte im August 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Jugs, a plate, bottle and fruit in a bowl, on a turquoise drape over a purple dresser für GBP 456,00 (€ 678,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Clarisse Loxton Peacock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flowers on a chair beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.516,80) versteigert wurde.
