Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Winter Landscape, Newark, Ohio by Clarence White for USD 153.00 (€ 140.30). This price was achieved in the auction Town | CountryPhotographs Online Sale at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mother And Child, Circa 1915 in April 2004 with an auction result of USD 6,572.50 (€ 3,327.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Winter Landscape, Newark, Ohio von Clarence White für USD 153,00 (€ 140,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Town | CountryPhotographs Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clarence White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mother And Child, Circa 1915 im April 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.572,50 (€ 3.327,85).
