Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Canal San Agostino, Venice by Clarence Gagnon for USD 240.00 (€ 203.56). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clarence Gagnon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Malo From The Cliffs Of Saint-Briac in November 2012 with an auction result of CAD 433,750.00 (€ 335,697.83).
