Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work The young faggot gatherers by Clara Montalba for GBP 59.75 (€ 84.56). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 100.00 – 200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clara Montalba achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work San Giorgio in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,437.50 (€ 1,826.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The young faggot gatherers von Clara Montalba für GBP 59,75 (€ 84,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours including Original Book bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clara Montalba erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit San Giorgio im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.437,50 (€ 1.826,36).
