Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto : Vue Du Château D'Abcoude ; Verso : Paysage Au Moulin by Claes Jansz. Visscher was auctioned at Artcurial in March 2017. The price achieved of EUR 13,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claes Jansz. Visscher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Karthuizer Klooster, Amsterdam, With A Small Lock In The Foreground in December 2014 with an auction result of EUR 145,500.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 13.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claes Jansz. Visscher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Karthuizer Klooster, Amsterdam, With A Small Lock In The Foreground im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 145.500,00.
