The work The Poppy Field by Cilius Andersen was sold in the 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in January 2013. It achieved a price of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,793.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cilius Andersen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning toilette, which sold at auction in December this year for DKK 100,000.00 (€ 13,415.30).

Die Arbeit The Poppy Field von Cilius Andersen wurde im Januar 2013 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.793,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Für andere Arbeiten von Cilius Andersen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Morning toilette beobachtet, die im Dezember diesen Jahres für DKK 100.000,00 (€ 13.415,30) versteigert wurde.
