This artwork by Chu Teh-Chun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in May 2012. In the Art Contemporain auction, the work Alentours Verdoyants I sold for EUR 336,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chu Teh-Chun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harmonie Hivernale in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 229,568,000.00 (€ 24,578,851.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 87 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chu Teh-Chun erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain wurde die Arbeit Alentours Verdoyants I für EUR 336.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 180.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chu Teh-Chun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Harmonie Hivernale im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 229.568.000,00 (€ 24.578.851,54).
